The French-language crime and thriller community: authors hub, literary prize, magazine, library of 1,900+ books.
Pulse Noir is the crime-fiction ecosystem I run under the PULSEMAN persona: a 2,150+ member Facebook group, pulsenoir.be with 1,900+ books and 267 referenced authors, La Revue Pulse Noir, the Grand Prix Pulse Noir (247 votes, 22 finalists, 20-reader jury) and BiblioPulse.
01The problem
A lively community on Facebook, but nothing of its own.
Pulse Noir was born as a Facebook group of crime and thriller enthusiasts. Thousands of readers, authors dropping by to chat, reviews every week, but everything lived on a platform that alone decides who sees what.
No website, no author database, no way to run a literary prize or a magazine other than through posts that vanish after three days.
02What I built
An author hub, a prize, a magazine and a connected library.
pulsenoir.be now gathers over 1,900 books and 267 referenced authors, a Dark Blog of unpublished texts, La Revue Pulse Noir and the Grand Prix Pulse Noir (247 votes, 22 finalists, a jury of 20 readers). The D'Encre Noire page presents the collection born from the Dark Blog, with structured data for search engines.
BiblioPulse is its natural extension: the personal library of the community's readers. Behind it, a shared Supabase database, protected server functions, a contact form defended against spam by Cloudflare Turnstile.
03Where it stands
2,150 members, and a community feeding the products.
The group exceeds 2,150 active members, the site runs on Vercel and Supabase, author interviews and Dark Blog texts keep coming. The mobile app is ready in Capacitor.
Next steps: volume 2 of D'Encre Noire for the 2026 holidays, relaunch of the Academy, and the Pulse Noir → BiblioPulse bridge as first acquisition channel.
