The official website of filmmaker and author René Manzor: filmography, books, press and an online masterclass migrated off Podia, 26 lessons, 22 videos, 71 students.
Official website of René Manzor, director and author: filmography, books, press area. In 2026, complete migration of his writing masterclass off Podia: 26 lessons, 22 videos with signed playback, 24 PDFs, 71 students and their comments carried over without loss, direct Stripe payment.
01The problem
A masterclass locked inside Podia, with its students and videos.
René Manzor sold his writing masterclass on Podia: monthly subscription, videos hosted there, students and comments locked in their database. Leaving the platform meant losing everything.
It had to migrate without service interruption, without losing a student, and keep the videos protected.
02What I built
A complete training area, from video to payment.
26 lessons, 24 PDFs, 22 videos with signed playback on Cloudflare Stream, 71 students and their 119 enrolments migrated with their comments, magic-link login, direct Stripe payment, administration by the filmmaker himself.
Thirty unit tests, five server-side tests and an end-to-end journey verify every deployment.
03Where it stands
In production on renemanzor.com since September 2026.
Stripe is live with a restricted key, students log in on the new site, Podia will be cancelled at the end of the notice period.
Next steps: announcement email to former students and new modules.
