Singulr is a Belgian non-profit I founded and chair: developing and operating European digital commons, federating sovereign actors and promoting digital sovereignty. Four pillars: a weekly monitoring feed, an observatory of European alternatives, a sovereign Git forge (Forgejo, forge.singulr.be, hosted in Belgium under European law) and a federation of actors. First edition of Singulr Health on 10 September 2026 in Waterloo: around fifty doctors, digital experts, companies and institutions. With Beneloo and the Observatory, Singulr forms the ecosystem I am building around control of data and tools.
01The problem
We had normalised dependency.
Health data, source code, work tools: most of what matters to a Belgian organisation runs with players it does not control. Not an accusation, simply the logic of any critical infrastructure entrusted to a third party.
European alternatives exist but are little known, poorly compared, and nobody coordinates those who want to use them.
02What I built
Four pillars, one movement.
Singulr ASBL operates a weekly monitoring feed on digital sovereignty, an observatory of European alternatives, a sovereign Git forge (Forgejo, hosted in Belgium under European law) and a federation of actors. The website exists in four languages.
On 10 September 2026, the first edition of Singulr Health gathered around fifty doctors, digital experts, companies and institutions in Waterloo.
03Where it stands
Forge in service, federation under construction.
The forge already hosts my own projects and those of first partners. Memberships are open at three levels. The Singulr Health video is coming.
Next steps: a sovereign mailing tool for members, new health guides, a second edition of Singulr Health.
